Anyway, time to throw up some poetry. I will try to re-read them before I post them, but if some language slips inside the poem feel free to smash me with a censor. Haha. Note; many have darker themes, but not all.

One for now, I'll upload more in due time. And, these are all ones I've written.

My Lullaby
I have one request before I die.
Will you please sing me a lullaby?
Let my fears and insecurities free,
So I can finally rest here peacefully.

I've been running all my life,
been avoiding words that cut like knives.
I've been struggling through this strife,
and I doubt I'll be getting nine lives.

So before the end of this all,
please look me in the eyes as I fall.
I don't want to end it alone..
with a heart cold like bitter stone.

Add some flare, give me reason to smile.
I want to be happy, walking this mile.
If I have to go, grant me this wish.
Sing me a lullaby, my goodnight kiss.

Close my eyes and put me to sleep.
'else I'll drown in the tears that I weep.
Hold me tight and don't let go.
I can't stand feeling so alone.

Be the stars that I look to tonight.
Be the moon that makes it all so right.
Be the drug that takes away my pain.
Be the sun that dries up my rain.

I don't deserve this, I must admit.
I'm dying from wounds, wrists that I've slit.
I've dug my own grave in which I shall lay,
This sadness is my fault, that I must say.

But as I lay here, my breaths getting shallow.
I can't help but plead, tears soon do follow.
I regret my decision, that put me in this place.
But I don't want to go feeling like a disgrace.

So I ask you once more, please grant me my wish.
Do me a favor and let me wallow in bliss.
Please now, as I quietly lay here to die.
Just sing to me softly.. my eternal lullaby.

That's really good! Do you do any other types of poetry? Limericks, haikus etc?

Haikus I have done before. Though, I don't have any currently with me ever since I got a new computer. Limericks, I've never tried. They seem quite interesting though so I am tempted to take a shot at it over spring break (starting Friday) so maybe I'll be posting one soon. =3 My usually poetry is that AABB / ABAB free verse mix but I do dabble around with various types depending on what I feel like doing. I'll take a look at them and see what I can do when I have the time. =P

I like that style too. I have thought about becoming a lyricist when I write stuff in that style

My poetry has often been confused with lyrics, haha. Though, obviously enough, there is no chorus etc., so it's lacking the structure that most song lyrics contain.

Another - a bit more romantic this time in contrast to the previous.
This was dedicated to a girl I used to know, haha.

Untitled.
You're like the sweet spring breeze,
the wind blowing through the trees.
So refreshing, so peaceful, so mild.
The pieces of your puzzle drive me wild.

Everything about you is absolutely amazing.
Your beauty is undeniably quite so dazing.
And every moment spent with you is a smile,
and your presence keeps me going another mile.

So here's to you, as perfect as can be.
Deny it all you want, but you're perfect to me.
Loving each and every part of you is what I do.
And I can keep on doing it 'cause it feels so true.

Ever since I met you, cherishing each moment.
Because there is no feeling that's more potent,
Than every single feeling that I happen to get,
spending another minute with you - no regrets.

So take my hand, and let's go for a ride.
Let's see where life takes us and jump inside.
Because with you by my side there is no fear,
we'll make it through the dark until the sky is clear.

When you just being you is all that I need,
I know that it's right, the things that I feel.
Just letting you know that whenever I breathe,
Is another thought of you, a moment you steal.

It's not quite thievery, it's a moment I'd give.
Gladly, undoubtedly, because it's worth it all.
And whenever you're doubting, don't. Just live.
Because I'll be there to catch you if you ever fall.

I could keep writing forever and never quite capture.
The perfection that is your soul's beautiful flower.
So know that I love every single part of you.
Because even your flaws can be perfect too.
