The Basics
Hey! I'm Kai Townsend! My friends call me Wild Child and Rookie. I'm nineteen years old and my birthday is on October 12th. My job is as a Police Officer and I'm striving to be the best!
The Looks
I'm about 6' 0" high and I weight about . My eyes are brown and my hair is dark, messy brown. Some people even say that I look like Playby. My clothing style is dependant on if I'm on duty, on a special assignment, or off duty.
On duty: Kai will be in a typical police officer blue uniform and long tan pants, complete with his badge on his tactical belt, but instead of a typical police officer hat, a ballcap with PD on the front and a picture of a silhoutte of an Arcanine on the back as it is in the memory of his former partner pokemon when he was part of the Rangers.
Special Assignments: Kai will be dressed in a tactical vest (much like this, badge hanging from a necklace instead of on his tactical belt, and the same hat on as when he's on normal duty.
Off Duty: Kai typically will wear a racing shirt or black tee when off duty along blue jeans and a baseball cap that he wears usually wears backwards that has a tornado design on the "front" and it reads "Team Twister Racing" which was the name of his go-kart racing team he was on when he was younger and is the team he races under when he decides to run his father's old race car, which sits in his garage.
The Background
My parents are Larry and Kyra Townsend and I have zero sibling(s). Here's a little bit more about me.
Kai was born to Larry and Kyra Townsend on a blustery and cold late October day in Pewter City. His father was a race car enthusiast and was quick to introduce his son to the sport when he was old enough, hooking the young boy at age 7 to drive go-karts. Kai was a late bloomer when it came to learning about Pokemon however, preferring to spend countless hours in the garage with his father, learning about different car parts and tools, which added to his mechanical know-how as he loves fixing many different things. During his time in Kanto, He also learned a lot about working on a ranch from his grandparents who own a small Pokemon Ranch just outside of Viridian City. At age 12, after numerous go-kart titles, Kai and his family had to move as his father had to transfer to Fall City because of his job.
The next year was extremely stressful in the boy's life, as he had to adjust to making new friends, which wasn't easy for him, considering he wasn't as in-tune with Pokemon as many of the other kids seemed to be. He continued to race, but struggled to his new surroundings. At age 15, he witnessed his father's death in a racing accident, causing Kai to lose his courage slightly, losing his edge slightly to continue racing, even though to this day his passion for it is still there and usually quite apparent, still he continues to repair his father's damaged race car when he has free time to head back to Fall City to visit his mother and has even filled in for injured drivers throughout the region, though he often tries to cover this fact up. The next year, Kai was searching for a purpose in life and entered the Ranger Academy, eventually graduating and getting placed in Ringtown in the Fiore Region.
On his 16th birthday, Kai received Blaze, his Growlithe, from his grandparents who live back in Kanto, and the two were quite the pair for a long while, disagreeing and not clicking for months until they got on the same page and the puppy pokemon calmed down a bit, finally understanding the importance of the jobs they had to perform. That being said, the two were quirky at times, the fire-type actually becoming able to distinguish many different tools and able to assist Kai in picking out the right tool to fix something throughout the canine pokemon's maturation. Kai allowed the Growlithe to evolve into an Arcanine after their first major ranger mission in assisting stopping the spread of a major wildfire short of cities as Blaze was vital to be able to help dig trenches and burn off vulnerable vegetation to slow the fire's progression. Kai managed to buy the firestone capable of the evolution soon after the mission by using money won in an dirt track race in which he subbed for an injured racing friend.
After spending a few years as a mechanic in the rangers, the boy started working towards becoming a top ranger and received several missions, including several that worked alongside different police departments in strike teams. One mission that included he and his Arcanine Blaze, that was extremely dangerous that dealt with stopping a Pokemon smuggling ring. Kai played his part, sabotaging the smugglers' vehicle, but was caught and cornered, causing the two to be cornered and Blaze and Kai to fight off as many people as they could, and in the struggle with an Arbok and Raticate, was mortally wounded in the line of duty as backup arrived. Kai avenged his partner by eventually chasing down the owner of 2 pokemon that wounded his Arcanine partner in a car chase that ended in Kai spinning the evil-doer out.
He caught the eyes of several police chiefs after this, was extended a spot to Police Academy, which Kai initially turned down until he turned 18 and moved back to Pewter City, taking a little while to get over the loss of Blaze and deciding the academy was the better route to go rather than go back to working in a car repair shop, considering he cared more about protecting people than his hobby.
Kai now finds himself as a rookie officer and strives to move up the ranks and conditionally loves his job and the impact he has on many different people.
